Document the prototype
Capture reproducible runtime configurations, failures, and game-specific results from current PS5 research.
We’re exploring the space between PC software and console hardware. Compatibility tooling, careful experiments, and a path from a working prototype to a repeatable setup.

Our initial work explores Windows game compatibility on homebrew-enabled PlayStation 5 hardware, building on Prospero and Wine. The focus is runtime setup, game-specific troubleshooting, and network interoperability experiments.
The next step is to turn that hands-on research into clear setup profiles, useful diagnostics, and documented compatibility results. This is an early project; support is evaluated game by game.
Conceptual architecture. This diagram is not a claim of universal compatibility or completed cross-platform multiplayer.
Capture reproducible runtime configurations, failures, and game-specific results from current PS5 research.
Develop a workflow for interpreting logs and turning recurring compatibility issues into testable fixes.
Assess the loader, graphics, memory, and networking constraints on Series X and Series S before attempting a port.
Xbox support and shared multiplayer across consoles remain research goals. No release date has been announced.
CommonFrame Labs is an independent project. We build on existing open-source compatibility work; we did not create Prospero or Wine.

Not yet. The project is in prototype development. A public release and supported-game list have not been announced.
No game downloads or public multiplayer service are offered on this site. The project focuses on compatibility research and tooling.
We plan to evaluate AI-assisted log analysis, test-case generation, and setup documentation. These are proposed development tools, not features currently available to users.
CommonFrame Labs is an independent software research lab, founded in 2026 by Kearis Javon Daniels. We build compatibility tooling and reproducible setups for running Windows software on console hardware, and we document the results openly.
